01Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Jobzo ("Jobzo", "we", "us") covering your use of the Jobzo website, applications, browser extension, and related services (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, ticking the consent box at sign-up, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
02Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you register with, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for everything that happens under your account.
- Use a real email address you control — password resets and security notices go there.
- Do not share your account or let anyone else use it.
- Tell us promptly at support@jobzo.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, that we are legally required to act on, or that is being used in a way that endangers the Service or other users.
03Your content stays yours
Everything you upload or create — your resume, work history, portfolio, case studies, images, and job notes ("Your Content") — remains yours. We claim no ownership over it.
To operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, and display Your Content, and to process it through the automated and AI systems described in the next section. This licence exists only so that we can run the product for you: render your resume, generate a PDF, publish your portfolio, tailor a version to a job description, or show you analytics.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backup copies that expire on our normal retention cycle and anything we must keep by law.
You are responsible for having the rights to whatever you upload, and for making sure it is accurate. Do not upload another person's personal data — a reference's phone number, a colleague's details — without their permission.
04AI processing and service improvement
This section describes the consent you give when you tick the box at sign-up. Please read it carefully — it is the core of how Jobzo works.
Jobzo is an AI product. Parsing your uploaded resume, tailoring it to a job description, scoring it against an applicant tracking system, drafting case studies, and generating portfolio copy are all done by artificial-intelligence models — our own and those of third-party providers acting on our behalf under contract. Using the Service means Your Content is sent to and processed by those models.
You agree that we may use your data to improve the Service. Specifically, you consent to us using Your Content, your prompts and inputs, and the way you interact with results to:
- produce the outputs you asked for, in the moment you ask for them;
- evaluate and improve the quality, accuracy, and relevance of the results we return to you and to other users — including tuning our prompts, scoring logic, parsers, and templates;
- train, fine-tune, and evaluate AI models used by the Service;
- diagnose faults, measure performance, prevent abuse, and build aggregated statistics about how the Service is used.
What we do not do. We do not sell your personal data. We do not publish your resume, portfolio, or case studies unless you choose to publish them. We do not give third-party AI providers permission to train their own general-purpose models on your content — our agreements with them prohibit it.
Anonymisation. Where your content is used for improvement or model training rather than to serve your own request, we take reasonable steps to strip or mask direct identifiers — name, email, phone number, address — first.
Withdrawing consent. You can ask us to stop using your content for improvement and model training at any time by emailing support@jobzo.ai. Doing so does not affect processing that already happened, and it does not stop the processing needed to actually run features you use — an AI product cannot tailor your resume without sending it to a model.
AI output is a draft, never advice. Generated content can be wrong, outdated, or misleading, and can invent details that were never in your resume. Review everything before you send it to an employer. You are responsible for what you submit under your own name. Jobzo does not guarantee any interview, offer, or employment outcome. 05Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or employment history in a way that constitutes fraud;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights;
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Service, or resell access to it;
- reverse engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, plan restrictions, or security controls;
- use automated means to create accounts or generate volume beyond ordinary personal use.
We may investigate suspected breaches and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content and terminating accounts.
06Plans, billing, and cancellation
The Service has a free tier and paid plans. Prices, limits, and included features are shown at the point of purchase and may change with reasonable notice — a price change never applies to a billing period you have already paid for.
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Fees exclude taxes, which are added where applicable. We use third-party payment processors and never store your full card details.
07Publishing and public links
You choose what becomes public. Publishing a portfolio, sharing a resume link, or connecting a custom domain makes that content accessible to anyone who has the URL, and it may be indexed by search engines.
Password-protecting a share link limits access but is not a security guarantee. Do not publish anything you would not be comfortable seeing forwarded.
You are responsible for any custom domain you connect, including your right to use it. We may remove published content that breaches these Terms or that we are legally required to take down.
08Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties — AI providers, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, storage, job boards, and OAuth sign-in providers such as Google and GitHub. Your use of those integrations is also subject to their terms.
Job listings and company information surfaced in the Service may come from third-party sources. We do not verify them and are not responsible for their accuracy or for any dealings you have with an employer.
09Our intellectual property
The Service itself — the software, templates, designs, brand, and documentation — belongs to Jobzo and its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use it, and nothing more.
Resume and portfolio templates may be used freely for your own resumes and portfolios. They may not be extracted, redistributed, or resold as templates.
Feedback you send us is something we may use without restriction or obligation.
10Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages, and events outside our control can all interrupt it.
We may add, change, or discontinue features. If we discontinue something significant, we will give reasonable notice and, where practical, a way to export your data.
Keep your own copies of anything important. Export your resumes and portfolio regularly — we maintain backups, but we do not guarantee recovery of lost content.
11Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy of AI-generated output or ATS compatibility scores.
Jobzo is not an employment agency, career counsellor, or legal adviser. Nothing in the Service is professional advice.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jobzo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost employment, or lost data.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Jobzo harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of anyone else's rights.
14Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your resumes, portfolios, case studies, and application data, subject to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your use creates legal risk, or if we discontinue the Service. The sections on your content licence for already-processed data, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.
15Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product and the law change. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
For material changes we will give notice — by email or an in-product notice — before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that point means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and delete your account.
16General and contact
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Jobzo regarding the Service. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of assets.
